What I like about this video: a list.
- Chorus is a legendary sample from Hair
- Mike Doughty’s totally unique vocal blend
- Song is a statement on PTSD, which is a GIANT, unspoken epidemic facing the nation right now
- Slide projector!*
- Golden lighting when the sunshine is in fact, let in
- Sing along and get chills at the same time

*My parents shot all our family vacation photos on slides until I was about 10. To this day I love setting up the screen, or clearing a wall, dusting off the projector and doing slideshows (digital rocks too, but isn’t the same awesomely analog experience).

Unknown boxes of tiny mysteries, the smell of old boxes and cartridges, the projector getting jammed, the small dust particles that dance in the air as your memories project, intertwined with the light of the machine. Amazing.

Radiohead goes green on Conan. Thom Yorke is a bloody genius.

I’m trying to trend tortoise, but still can’t help getting down and dirty with the messy Scottish band, Frightened Rabbit. Click, work on creating something and let it play.

Not from new album but staticy and just rad - “The Greys”

And the stance that we take isn’t much to bear
Yeah, we leave things to change on their time
And our failure to care for it leaves us blind
’til we’re tired and we’re crazed in the mind

Chris Walla tells you who is in charge of his band with over 4:30 minutes of mint
production on the 8:30 minute long single, “I Will Possess Your Heart.” Ben Gibbard
isn’t dicking around either with his honey vocals in this beautifully shot, if not a little
deranged and stalkery video.

I guess the obsessive thought behind it is a little sexy, but Love isn’t about possession
or moments. It’s about being free.
